Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 slices of streaky bacon (optional)
1 cup of Marcus’s BBQ sauce
1 cup of grated cheddar cheese
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
Heat the olive oil in a large ovenproof skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and wrap each breast with 2 slices of bacon.
Return the chicken to the skillet and brush generously with Marcus’s BBQ sauce.
Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the bacon is crispy.
Sprinkle the grated cheddar cheese over the chicken and return to the oven for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot
Check the internal temperature of your chicken it should be 165.2° Fahrenheit / 74° Celsius to avoid food poisoning. Please use a Probe, not a guess. Food poisoning is not a good thing!
