Lynn Falls, also known as Lynn Spout, is a delightful natural wonder tucked away in the heart of Ayrshire. While Scotland isn’t typically renowned for its waterfalls, this one stands out as a picturesque spot that invites visitors to explore its wooded surroundings and listen to the soothing rush of water.

When we visited there were plenty of Blackberries and Rose hips in full fruit, the trail was clear and there were no signs of vandalism or graffiti. there were others walking this popular path and they all seemed friendly.

I would point out there is a small car park just near the base of the falls, during the day it seemed safe enough.

The Setting

Located near the charming village of Dalry, Lynn Falls is a short but beautiful circuit that offers a refreshing escape from everyday life. The falls are situated along the Caaf Water, which meanders through lush woodlands. As you follow the trail, you’ll encounter not only the main falls but also several smaller cascades and rapids—a true treat for nature enthusiasts.

  • Difficulty: Easy
