Broomlands, Irvine, Weather Timelapse 30th August 2024.
As the sun gently rose over the rugged coastline of Irvine, North Ayrshire, Scotland, our trusty Ecowitt HP-10 Timelapse camera stood watch. Its lens, like an eager observer, captured the subtle dance of clouds, the play of light, and the ever-changing canvas of the sky.
At 6:22 AM local time, the town partially stirred to life. The air held a promise—a delicate balance between warmth and coolness. The forecast whispered secrets: “Mostly sunny, 20°C.” A perfect day for our little camera.
As the morning unfolded, the sun climbed higher, casting its golden glow on the Firth of Clyde. gigantic Seagulls wheeled overhead, their wings catching the breeze, terrorizing those unwary travellers eating takeaway chips or Ice cream. The temperature reached a comfortable 20°C, inviting locals and visitors alike to venture outdoors.
By midday, the sky remained steadfast—blue interrupted by wisps of cirrus clouds. The Ecowitt HP-10 clicked away, capturing the gradual shift from morning calm to afternoon vibrancy.
And then, as the clock approached 8:13 PM, the sun dipped below the horizon. The camera faithfully documented this celestial farewell—the hues of twilight painting the sky in soft pastels. Aurora was threatening, but the cloud descended upon our skies.
Our timelapse reveals more than weather; it captures the heartbeat of a place—the ebb and flow of life against the backdrop of nature’s theatre.
