A game of chase I never need. <\/p>\n\n
One sends me here, one sends me there, <\/p>\n\n
Yet no one claims the weight to bear. <\/p>\n\n
The line goes dead, the clock ticks loud, <\/p>\n\n
Hope dissolves into the crowd. <\/p>\n\n
Circles drawn in faded ink, <\/p>\n\n
I tread the path, too worn to think. <\/p>\n\n
A paper trail, a hollow phrase, <\/p>\n\n
A tangled web of lost delays. <\/p>\n\n
The hands that heal, the names that care, <\/p>\n\n
Yet none step up\u2014none dare declare. <\/p>\n\n
Round and round, the story spun, <\/p>\n\n
A dance of duty, yet it\u2019s shunned. <\/p>\n\n
If not for need, I\u2019d walk away, <\/p>\n\n
But health won\u2019t wait another day. <\/p>\n\n
