In the quiet hum of a midnight room, Where radios buzz and signals bloom, Amateur voices fill the air, With tales of contests, everywhere.
From mountaintops to valleys low, Through static storms and winds that blow, Operators with hearts so keen, Chase the thrill of the unseen.
Morse code dances, dots and dashes, Across the globe, in brilliant flashes, Voices echo, clear and bright, In the endless canvas of the night.
Antennas stretch to touch the sky, As frequencies weave and signals fly, Each contact made, a bridge anew, Between the old and the new.
QSL cards, like trophies, stand, Proof of voices from distant lands, A testament to skill and might, In the endless radio fight.
Emergency calls, a lifeline cast, In times of need, they hold steadfast, With steady hands and hearts so true, They guide the lost, the weary crew.
In contests fierce, they find their place, A global game, a thrilling chase, Yet camaraderie, the truest prize, In the world of amateur skies.
So here’s to those who brave the air, With passion, skill, and endless care, In every contest, big or small, They bring the world together, after all.
