Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) has woven itself into my daily existence, and I’m currently on the mend from a broken hip. This year, a new companion joined the party: Asthma. It arrived after a grueling battle with Pneumonia. Yet, amidst these trials, I’ve found solace in my passions.

Passion Projects: A Lifeline

My love for reviewing products—whether gadgets, tools, or experiences—has been a constant. But here’s the catch: to review, I need access. Some items I purchase myself, while others I hope to borrow. 1. Amateur Radio Once upon a time, I owned a Kenwood TS2000X. The grand plan involved moving to the USA with my wife—a dream that, for better or worse, remained unfulfilled. Life took unexpected turns, and I ended up selling 90% of my beloved radio gear. Now, here in the UK, my antennas stand tall, but the radios are scarce. A dual-band FM mobile rig is my lifeline to the airwaves. Still, I yearn for more—a return to those crackling frequencies and the camaraderie of fellow hams.
2. Weather and Planetary Sciences The skies have always fascinated me—the dance of clouds, the whisper of wind, and the secrets held by distant planets. I’ve tinkered with weather station resources, capturing data and marveling at the Earth’s ever-changing moods. But I want more—for this to be a resource not just for me but for others too.
